About Interior Design Wages
Interior Design help!?
Can you answer the following questions about int. design please::
What classes should i be taking in high school to prepare?
Talents needed?
Core Classes i have to be good @?
The Normal paying wage?
uhh.. and anything else you can tell me.
oh yah, and
is there alot of competition in the field.
and the best place to live to get the most out of the job.
You don’t have to take anything special in high school. I suggest art classes and autocad if you have them though. also, if you got a nice school
[I didn't] if you have drafting classes that will really help.
as far as talent is concerned you just have to have an eye for design. you don’t even have to be able to draw or color.
2 years ago pay for someone on the east coast started at about $40,000 per year. We moved to Arizona because an Interior Designer can start out at $15,000 more per year on average. There’s more new things to design there than back east.
The Art Institute of Pittsburgh is a great school for this, they have other branches in other states too, but the main/first school in Pittsburgh is best.

Interior Design Wages
Career suggestions…….read please?
I’m still working on graduating high school. I’m 21, I know I have the option of enrolling as a mature student. I’m just kind of afraid that I wont pass the tests to get in because I havent been in school mode in over 2 years. Long story made short..I’m living by myself, paying my own rent and working a min wage job, which my hours are getting cutt bcz its slow right now. I’m just worried how I’m going to start my life. My parents are still together but arnt doing well enough to support me, so I was kind of forced to move out.
Ive been trying to choose a career though. I love animals, designing interiors and I’m into salon kind of stuff like facials and massage and reiki.
Anyone have any suggestions or tips for me that would help me be able to get out of this box and start a new life? Im in need of major help!!
At least try the mature student tests. Even if you fail, you can use high school as a fallback. I was out of school five years when I went back. I was equally concerned. I didn’t need to be. My life experience during those five years more than made up for being out of the academic loop. I still remember as a 2nd year returning student sitting next to a 4th year one in an Economic Geography course. She was worried she’d fail the course and fail to graduate. I was worried that I’d only get a ‘B’.
Go for it!
