Interior Design Programs For Mac
Just wondering – Mac or PC?

So I'm a year for the first time in an interior design program for my second year and is supposed to buying a laptop pretty spiffy. I would like to start out now a stadium that is needed to obtain, since it must serve a minimum of a certain amount requirements and such, but I was wanting to ask this question and hope I could get some "geeks" (I use that term lovingly) to clarify what the pros and cons of these two different systems would be. I've been a PC person all my life by default of what my parents to buy, but now I have a choice. Also note in mind that I need to get the most out of my money since I'm a starving college student. Thanks!

The PC is much better. Macs have a lot design programs and seemingly better video and graphics editing, but the hardware is too expensive for you end up getting a Mac slow for the price a fast PC. Pieces have a huge library of software, because they are widely used. Can run Mac OSX and Windows and most major system components version of Windows and all other major operating systems except Mac

Advice for a free online portfolio website?

I’m graduating in March with my BA in interior design. I would like to have an online portfolio that prospective employers can find via my resume or business card. I know nothing about online sites, who I can trust with my images and information, etc. I did come across one called Portfoliobox.net, which looks interesting, and the free version gives me everything I need. I’ve even thought about Blogspot. I need suggestions from anyone who uses an online portfolio or knows of a really good website to direct me to. It needs to be professional and user friendly – since I am in interior design, not web design. lol :)

As a Web Designer and a Multimedia Artist, I would say an online portfolio is one of the most crucial aspects of applying for a job.

I haven’t checked out portfoliobox.net extensively, so I don’t know it very well, but I’m always wary of things that are free – You usually get something similar to what you pay for, which is not much at all.

I recommend going with one of the worlds leading creative professional platforms,

http://www.behance.net/prosite

It only costs $11 a month. Quality-wise I think you will be very happy with the result as they are geared towards professionals.

You can also sync your portfolio with several job websites, Behance.net itself and get featured across the web. Something I think that is be quite valuable for a portfolio website.
