The
word “kitchen” redefined
For many people, their kitchen is the ultimate multi-purpose
room. Yes, they cook in it, so it must be efficient and
comfortable to work in. But family members also join
the cook to chat and help, and at parties people naturally
gravitate to the kitchen, so the kitchen must be people-friendly
and warm and inviting. Add to these that a kitchen should
have that “wow” factor that leads to all
sorts of compliments about your kitchen and you.
So designing a “wow” functional kitchen is
more complicated than many people think. That’s where
I come in.
I was a chef many years ago, so I know how to make kitchens
functional and efficient, easy to work in.
I’ve also designed multi-purpose kitchens for some
16 years, and know how to make them friendly and inviting
to other members of the family, as well as guests. As for
the “wow” factor, please view some of the kitchens
I have designed in both the kitchen
photo and before and
after sections.
I am a Certified Kitchen Designer
(CKD), a certificate that only 5% of kitchen designers
have, as well as a member
of the National Kitchen and Bath Association. Yes, I also
design baths, and other rooms that need cabinetry, and
as you’ll see from my photos, they are designed to
meet the taste and sensibilities of the homeowners.
Unlike many other designers, I am not affiliated with
a kitchen and bath firm, so you can choose where to buy
your cabinets, appliances and other products. I have
extensive product knowledge, and can help guide you as
to the best products for you home.
Do I only design high-end kitchens and
baths? No. Look at the photos and you’ll see some kitchens that were
completed on very tight budgets that meet all the criteria
of being an efficient kitchen that is family and guest
friendly – and has that all-important “wow” factor.

I can do for you. I hope they’ll inspire you to
