Can I get F2 Visa without going back to my country & How ?
Hi, well i m hear in US on M1 visa, and my girlfriend is on F1 visa. Now we are planning to get married. My visa expires Feb 2009, and her visa is good till 2012. So If i get married here can i apply for F2 visa without going back to my home country (india)? Or do we have to get back india get married and and she come here in US and i apply for F2 visa back there? If it is possible to get F2 without leaving US can you please suggest me how can i do that? Or even you can suggest me any good lawyer who can take care of this matter. I m in texas studing commercial pilot and she is in chicago studing interior designing.

You can easily get married in the United States. Be sure to register your marriage with the Indian Embassy in Washington, DC or the Indian Consulate in Chicago…

After you get married you can file Form I-539 with the USCIS. Your wife’s International Student Adviser at the school should be able to assist you. Since you CANNOT work on an F2 visa your wife will have to prove that she is financially able to support you.
