What Should I Do In Life?

I’m a senior in high school, and I plan on having a good life with family, so I’m very iffy about my job. I wanted to persue a career in veterinary medicene, but, since I want a family .. I don’t think that will be the best idea — I don’t want to work LONG hours and be on-call. I want to take care of my kids!

I’m a very “artsy” person, and VERY interested in fashion, interior, and graphic design. I love anything artistic, really ..

Are there any jobs out there where I can spend time with my kids and do a “project” for a person — working at home.

It sounds like you already know what you want to do – be an artist.

And it’s totally possible to do “projects” from home as an independent consultant, but you have to bust your ass and get your work out there and make a name for yourself in your local market if you want to be able to do it full-time. That in itself is a full-time job, but if it’s really what you want to do, then it should be enjoyable for you.

I’d suggest getting in touch with your local arts council and start attending events and meeting people who might become clients one day.
