help! interior design/decorating career??…?

I absolutely love architecture but Im not smart enough to become an architec and its also hard to get into…
I also love interior design but that is also hard to get into and you dont make much of an income?… I was wondering how to get a job decorating the inside of display homes?? What courses would I need to do? etc
p.s. Im 18 and live in Melbourne…

You’re 18, if possible enroll in a college level math & drafting for starters. Hire on at something like a cabinet shop or decorating business. Start off small. Reception, general labor or such, pay attention. Work hard, prove yourself to the company that you’re a good worker and devoted. Then you may take baby steps forwards.
My sister did this. She began as a receptionist for a tile company, then graduated to sales and service, more individualized care with clients, then she began designing interior tile layout, then for larger and larger homes, businesses, hotels etc… Soon she was so successful she split off and opened her own cabinet factory and Kitchen design etc…
I’ll give you her website so you can get an idea of just how successful the business area is, and she had it all by the age of 28 or so.
