help! redoing my bedroom?

okay! sooo i am in interior design in school and like that made me want to redo my room because i love this kind of stuff. i want my room very modern looking and like glamorous but simple. im a 16 yr old girl. soo my furniture is all brown wood and i hate it becuase like i said i want a modern look. i got a new bedspread that is just black and white and the design is like swirel type things. so how can i redo my room to look modern and what colors should i use? please help me with some ideas my room is like where i live and i want it relaxing and a unique place. thank so much! and if there is any good pictures you find please feel free to post them. THANKS SO MUCH

You could go with a high-tech look. Glass tops and chrome furnishings. A chair with b&w zebra stripe cushion. Gray or silver bean bag chairs, A red rug!
