Some years ago in an interior design magazine I came across an article about a furniture maker who made really unusual furniture with curved tops and fronts and carved lizards and othe unusual features attached. Does anyone know who he is and whether he has a website,

not sure, do you not know the name of the magazine? you could search their website.

it could have been a really obscure designer who isn’t around anymore. you could try searching ebay fo similar items and see if they are on there,

you could try google and look at the images.

What is the difference between Autodesk 3D Max 2010 and Autodesk 3D Max Design 2010?

I accidently ordered Autodesk 3D max 2010 instead of the Design version and I major in Interior Design and Architecture and my brother will be majoring in Game Designing soon. Should I return the version I got for the design version? Or just keep it since it’s not much of a major difference. I would love to know your opinions.

The key difference between 3ds Max and 3ds Max Design is that each product is tailored specifically for people in different industries. “3ds Max Design” is ideal for architects, designers and visualization specialists, while “3ds Max” is a tool of choice for professionals in the games, film, and television industries.

Basically you have more customization in the full 3D Max software, such as the Software Developer Tools for Max Scripting and plugins. The Design version does not have that feature.

“3ds Max Design has the same functionality as 3ds Max, with the addition of the new Exposure lighting analysis technology. The Software Development Kit (SDK) is not provided. Other differences between the two products include user interface and application defaults, tutorials, sample files, and product websites.”

Interior Design Home Study Schools
any good ideas?

I had been a waitress up until I had my daughter and now I’m a stay at home mom. When my daughter goes to school(which is 5 years from now) I’ll be able to get back into work full time. I dont want to go back to waitresing though so I’m thinking of going back to school. What career fields would be ideal to study being a full time mom with limited time. I would love to be an elementary school teacher but that seems like it would take too much time. I love interior design but it seemd unpredictable. What do you think? Thanks in advance

i found it impossible to go to school until my son was in Jr.high and could take care of himself more. I took nursing.
