I’ve been interested in journalism for quite some time and am currently on my high school’s newspaper staff. I have a slight interest in psychology and am taking a semester-long course on that as well. I’m semi-interested in something along the lines of interior design as well.
I know I’m all over the place. I’m sorry. Haha(:
But which of those fields would be the best to major in? Which one would help me get a good, well-payed job? Also… could you pick a good minor to go with the major you chose?
College is frustrating, and I can’t choose which one would provide the best future for me.
Thanks in advance.
None of those careers are known for providing good well paid jobs right out of college. For journalism you start out at the bottom and hopefully can work you way up the ladder to something decent (it will probably take a while). To have a good career with psychology you really need at lest a masters and preferably a doctorate and even then the prospects are not really crash hot.
If a good well paid job is your desire then the fields you are interested in is not conducive to that.
That’s not to say you should change you field of interest – it is obviously what you enjoy, which is by far the most important thing. I just don’t want you to be under any delusions about what lies ahead of you career wise if you choose that path.
Thanks
Bill
