Interior Designing Schools In Australia
I need help finding uni’s/colleges that offer both interior design and hospitality in Australia?

being my senior year, i need to try and find a school that offers BOTH these, and im having trouble so far because they are either one or the other, so please, help!

G’day,

Hmmm… not easy but not impossible.

First of all FYI, most colleges in Australia only offer vocational/non-degree courses. Universities are definitely the best ones to look for degree courses.

There are only 42 (soon to be 43) universities in Australia, all of them are fully accredited and they are tightly regulated, therefore the quality and recognition of their graduates are equal from wherever university you are studying from. The most important thing is you have to READ the course information carefully, since some courses may have the same name but different content.

To find out the course that you are taking and where it is offered, I suggest you to go to Dept of Education, Science and Technology (http://cricos.dest.gov.au) and IDP Education Australia website (www.idp.edu.au). IDP is an organisation that gives information to international students who wants to continue their study in Australia. You need to make sure what psychology you want to study. Once decided on the uni, fill in the application form and send it together with certified copy of your academic qualification.

Hope this helps. E-mail me at mikegun(at)studentfirst.com.au if you have more questions abt study in Australia. Good luck for your study and welcome to Australia :)

Interior Design For Office Reception
how many employees does a law firm with 3 lawyers need? and what kind of areas should it have?

I’m an Interior design student and I have to design a law firm for tree lawyers..what other employees does a law firm usually have? and what kind of areas does a law firm need? 3 offices for the lawyers, a conference room, a reception…what else?

You need fairly significant room for files and a law library. Don’t forget a break room – lawyers and their clients will need coffee! If they are in an office building then there are probably common area restrooms “down the hall.”

Plan the space carefully and remember your adjacencies :)

One really good paralegal and a secretary/receptionist should fit nicely.

Modern Interior Design House Ideas
I want to be an Architect!!!!?

Soo i want to be an architect…modern architect really intrest me alot….i luv it…!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and soo does modern interior design…iam into houses and building…but when i want to draw a design i have no idea…wut to do…i go blank!!! lol….idk were to get my ideas from plzz help…i dont want to copy either…i wana be orginal..

I do not know how old you are but I am guessing your still in hs.

DISCLAIMER: I am NOT an architect (I’m a engineering student). This is my advice for what is worth, take it or leave it =)

I used to want to learn to cook (as in gourmet) food really bad, but most of what I made was really awful; the combinations were just wrong so I decided to stick with a recipe.

Over time my skills developed and now I come up with some really good “original” dishes. (i am a amateur chef in my spare time)

The point of the this little story: You MUST master the basic principles before you can start making original contributions.

Take architectural classes, take art classes, take drafting….MASTER THE BASICS…and when you have the basics of covered suddenly you will be able to do some amazing stuff.

Good Luck! & I hope you one day get to be an architect if that is what you really want to do!
