How to charge for interior designing?

My self an interior designer.I am confused with the payment procedure.I have done projects at my place independently.Now going to do a project at a place little far away.I do have my workers which is not an issue for me.Confusing factor is the fee.Generally I charge on percentage basis.This work involves travel and other related expenses.I have made a rough calculation still I would like to have a second opinion on this from an expert.Is 15% sufficient ?

if u r going to charge percentage
u have to considered each every expense what u have paid
such as
conveyance
communications
refreshment
materials purchased
designing
legal papers if any
changes
westage of materials time
time consumption’s
miscellaneous
any other missed everything should be totaled and then
percenage rate about 20% can be applied
