Anyone know of a good freeware/shareware interior design tool?

I just did this tonight for my bedroom by downloading the free IKEA room planner. The only thing is, it is exclusive to their products.

Nevertheless, its free and it does the 3D thing which is sooo cool! (I know, I need to get out more!!!)

How can I use autocad for free?

I am an Interior Design student and need to use autocad for a summer design competition. The free trial I had on my computer expired, and I am not at school to use the lab. Being that I am a student – buying the program is out of the question. Is there anywhere I can go to work on a computer with autocad installed, or anywhere that would allow me to download the program back onto my computer?

The only thing you will be able to do will be to get the student version, however, it is not free. It is only a reduced price and all the .dwg’s you produce will say “Created with student version”. You can check to see if your school has a civil engineering or architectural computer lab that has AutoCAD on it. Aside from that you won’t have much luck.

Oh and sorry, I didn’t see the part about you not being at school. The only thing you will be able to do will be to buy the student version of autocad or find a friend that has it.
