Aussies- School subjects selection help?

Hey there,

I’m in Grade 10, and I’m choosing my subjects for grade 11 soon. (I’m an Australian high school student). I’m planning to do either law, interior design or primary school teaching when I grow up (depends on my marks) and I’m stuck: should I do Economics or Food Technology?

Both these subjects aren’t prerequisites to what I want to do after school, so it doesn’t matter which I choose. I’m just scared I don’t like the one I take, because I can only take one. I likecooking and food theory is fine with me, and I like learning about global markets and all that, but is there something I should know about these two subjects? Thanks!

What other subjects are you doing? If your other workload is very academic and heavy already, I would say go with Food Tech, it would be a nice break from your harder subjects, and cooking is always a good life skill to have!

It depends what you are passionate about as well. Do you like all of economics, or just the one part? If you enjoy a subject, then you will do better in it.

Interior Design Principles Of Design
Which home-study interior decorating/design should I choose?

I’m interested in taking a home-study (preferably an online or web based) course in interior decorating or design and I’ve narrowed it down to three but I don’t know which one to pick! one is offered by Penn Foster (www.pennfoster.edu/decorator/index.html), one by PCDI (www.pcdi.com/courses/hh/index.html) and the other one by Sheffield School of Interior design (www.shefield.edu). They are very similar and I’m trying to get a course that would actually teach me something about decorating and I’m afraid that I’ll pay the money and end up with a gimmiky heap of rubbish!! I’m not very much concerned with accreditation as I live outside the US and I don’t think I’ll be looking for a job there as a decorator. I want a course that would be informative, fun and challanging while teaching me some worthwhile principles of interior decorating/design.
If anyone has any idea about these courses, I would love to hear thier feedback on this.

Sheffield is good, but all of them are beginner courses. In my view Rhodec Int. is the best, but it is also pricey.
