What is the best website for free or low cost stock/share high resolution photos that I can download.?
I tried one site that was free but required you to sign up, but their sign up process didn’t function correctly and I never was able to join. I’m particularly interested in soccer, sailing, and slick interior architecture/design photos. Thanks!

Artist Lofts – Thesis suggestions please?
I am getting my Masters in Interior Architecture and have decided to do my thesis on “The Future of Artist Lofts”. I love the idea of community and bringing people in the city together. I would love to incorporate a coffee shop / eatery in the main lobby along with a communal gallery so Loft owners can share and display there work.
As an artist, would you live in an artist loft? If you already live in one, what would you change? What would you suggest if this was being designed for yourself? Do you feel there is a need to bring this kind of community into a particular area?
Any suggestions would be very helpful in my research.
Thank you!
I’d love a spot where I could have a garden, or how about a peaceful spot where one could meditate or do yoga? Maybe a common area for that…
A lot of people are trying to go green these days too, so a proper place to recycle paper (from all those bad sketches
), and more importantly, a place to get rid of the nasty paints and chemicals we use. And alternate energy sources would be cool too.
Lot’s of light is important when you’re drawing, but an efficient way to get the windows dark when you need to work on the computer for graphics stuff would be important too.
If you wanna go really out there..how about a small work shop with a paint booth, big sinks for washing brushes and things, and big work tables? (I’d say stay away from power tools since that could be a law suit waiting to happen)
Finally, I know some lofts where you can do anything to the interior (build walls, second floors), but when you move out, you need to tear it down for the next person. So if you could figure out a way for a person to customize their space (moveable walls…whatever), that could be neat.
Good luck! =)
