Bedroom Interior Design Photos
Interior design for bedroom… Which is the best idea. Or do you have your own?

The room I am painting is a standard bedroom size.
It is kind of dark and has one window.
I am 16 years old so it needs to suit that.
I am also a great photographer and stencil artist.
=D

Idea
1) Paint the entire room black, and cover it from head to toe in black and white photos with the same frame. A black frame with white inner paper frame. Th photos will all be symbolic and illustrate my life and all be taken by me! Also have canvas’ with black and white stencils with a red and grey streak under the stencil positioned around the room.
2)All of step one but only doing it on one wall. And the other walls in a red.
3) Paint the whole room black and white and just cover it in stencils of all colors.
Or
4) Give the room a cool theme. (Unsure of what though)

Please I need help!
Any ideas please tell me!
=D

That sounds a bit gothic.

(By the way, MissLimLam, check your E-mail).

how do interior designers work?

I mean to say do they have an office job or a field job
as someone told me interior designers have to do a lot of field jobs they heve to visit the sites again and again that the need to design
however I had the idia that these designers have a desk job and not a field job becouse I have an idea they design everything virtually (on computer)
please guide me and give me a true picture of the job
as I am considereing it as a career option
i am sorry its not idia its idea

It’s actually both. Here’s the typical life cycle of a project…
1) Meet with clients – Determine wants/needs. Sketch out basic design.
2) Input sketches into CAD. Select samples per client preferences. These samples can be literally anything…from carpets to toilets, depending on the scope of the project. In the case of toilets, furniture, lighting fixtures you won’t be taking the actual object as a sample…just a brochure (called a cut sheet in the industry).
3) Create alternate sketches as overlays to the CAD drawing
4) Present ideas to client.
…and this process continues until the client is happy with the selection.
Once the actual work begins the interior designer will typically visit the jobsite once or twice a week to check on the progress of the work or address any concerns the client has.

I spent a total of 4 years working in the interior design department of 2 different architectural firms. I never was an actual interior designer though. I was one of the drafters. In that position I input CAD plans, corrected markups, etc while the designer was working on other layouts, in meetings, or selecting samples. If the designer was really loaded down I would also assist in selecting samples per the designer’s guidelines. I think interior design is actually kind of fun.

In short..if you enjoy redecorating your home yourself you will probably enjoy a career in interior design.

Jobs In Interior Design Nyc
living in New York City for college?

well I want to be an interior designer. but as many of the schools are in New York. and I really do not want to go further. but how expensive is it to live there? I'm really all about art and design as for my career. so i cannot really change their minds. but as good for the experience of New York. or too hard. what colleges they suggest for this race? Is it easy to get a job for this in nyc? I know it would not be able to be independent there, and id have to have someone with me. id get so scared every corner turned. I'm hoping my boyfriend will come with me. How come I can convince him. Is there anyone whos been to a school of design, as in New York? as New York School of Interior Design? if so … How is it. prices. housing. ect.

I notice you have a penchant for ask questions that shouldbe able to find answers to know ….. on accreditation of FIDER, then select the schools on that list. http://www.accredit-id.org/accreditedprograms.html do yourself a favor, get a new BF in college (if you have time) to leave the old home. He falls on his feet, and you too. NOT to go little by little!
