After School activity ideas? extra curricular activities that would look good for college.?
I need after school activities that would look good for college.
Im thinking about job ideas, volunteering, clubs, or group activities.
My intrests involve helping others, architecture, design (as in interior design of houses), computers, other technology devices, and making money.
I dont like sports, babies, old people who cant understand things after 3 times of explaining something.
I live in the bay area, if that helps. no specifics.
I am looking for more general ideas, and than will narrow it down to options closer to where I live.
Please be serious, dont start side conversations.
Put ideas in a list form (easier to read) if there is more than one.
Thanks! if you have any questions, ask them here. I will try to answer them as soon as possible.
Start a private buisiness. I did it with yard work. I don’t know how lucky you would be to do something that has to do with architecture or technology, since you don’t have a degree. But you’ll make money, and colleges like people who have a regular job, let alone start one.
Join your local Search and Rescue. Kids (at least in King County) at about 15 + can do it. Its for both youth and adults. You all do the same things. Radio relays, searching, extracting and infiltrating by helicopter and litters, etc…
I know you don’t like sports, but it is one of those crucial things you should have. Some colleges (like Academys) require you to play a sport in college. However if its the athletics part of it you dislike, do something with out it. Join a local rifle team, find a team with technology as it’s base (im not sure what that might be). Colleges like it when your on a team because you develope teamwork, learning how to work together with others to accomplish things, as well as discipline yourself to commit to something. The physical aspects of it are just a bonus.
Volunteer!!! Colleges like it if you work hard, let alone for free. I know you don’t like old or young people so I wouldn’t recommend a hospital. Try getting involved with groups from your school (also imprortant in itself). They usually get opportunities to volunteer.
I hope this helps. Good luck.
