Graduate Interior Design Jobs London
Is it pointless doing Art/Design at University….?
At the moment I’m doing a Foundation Degree in Art & Design, it’s great and I’m enjoying it.
And hopefully I will be going to University to study BA honours in either Fine Art, Textile Design, Design Crafts and Decorative Arts. I have already applied anyway.
But I feel that it’s just pointless, because when I have graduated, I’m worried that I won’t find the career I want, or I will be stuck having a crap job.
I still don’t know what kind of career I want to do, I was thinking of being an Art Editor, Illustrator, freelance Artist or Textile Designer, (Designing textiles and things for clothing companies). Or even a Interior Designer.
I live in Leicester and I don’t think there is many opportunities for me there, so I probably have to go London or something.
If you already have doubts, then maybe it’s a sign you’re not fully committed – decide how intense or otherwise the passion is before you do it . I always think that studying for a Degree in Art is rather like studying the Performing Arts – if you aint got the commitment at the start , you won’t have the resilience to take the knock- backs, obstacles and disappointments you will almost certainly encounter along the way.
Only you can make an accurate judgment about this
