Whats the difference between: Associate of Arts degrees and Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees?

want to attened The Art Institute for Interior Design, but I don’t know what’s the difference between these 2 degrees. And which one is better?

Do i have to take one first, then the other?or what?

one more thing, i hope. If I do get into the AI, which one of these do i need if I just want to study interior design for homes[[bedrooms, etc.]]]

don’t worry about the CHEAPEST ONE, I just want one that will help alot with my future [[ill figure out the money thing later, i have 2 years of high school left lol]] thank you for your help :D

An Associate of Arts degree is a two years program which only teach you the generalities, like undergraduate courses, the basics. With this you might be able to land an entry level job …but won’t be able to move up as fast as you would like to. A.A. degrees are ususally offered at community colleges. A Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree is a more complete program because on the last two years you get to choose your area of interest like Interior design …and it will open many doors for you.
In order to get your B.F.A degree you don’t have to get an A.A.. at a junior college, unless you could not be admitted to the 4 years college or university because of bad grades or something. You can go straight to a 4 years college/university from High School.
While you are in college you can get in to an internship to learn the know how and this will help you in finding employment. A degree in fine arts will help you achieve this because the field is very competitive.
