Company logo design help?

I need to design a logo for an individual business (i’m not gettin paid 4 this) and the owner of the business said he just wants me to come up with the design and i cant get him to give me any ideas of what he wants… So i was wondering if i could get help on ideas???

It is a remodeling/home repair business he dose practically everything! You name it… Flooring tiling painting kitchen bath any interior or exterior work imaginable decks additions fixes to foundation etc….. the list goes on and on. So what would be good for a logo for a place that does all this?

best idea will get a vote from me and 10 pts =)

the logo could have a hammer and maybe a measuring tape/ruler, some a screwdriver, a paint brush and paint pal & maybe a toolbox etc.

What tools do you use to create a sample board? ?

Hi interior designers,

When creating a sample board what tools and materials do you use?

- What type of paper/board?
- Where do you gather your samples (e.g. internet, magazines, brochures, the store)?
- Do you glue your samples or tape?
- Is there a book on how to do this?

I’m a Graphic Designer and Web Developer. I’m making plans to finally decorate my place, and I want to take a step into the world of interior design. Also, I think the concept of a sample board would help me with future clients.

Thank you for all of your help.

depends on what type of samples you are showcasing.
i am a decorative painter and i use foamboard to paint my sample onto.if i know it will get alot of abuse( dragged back and forth to a new construction for example) then i use masonite. the designers i work with also use foamboard and attach samples of fabric swatches, paint chips, etc onto the boar using glue of some sort. probably rubber cement.
