should i just do graphic designing and what does graphic designers do?
Hm, well.. how far along are you in high school? If possible, try to take a basic art class so that you can build up a portfolio. If you want to go to college specifically for art, you need a sophisticated portfolio with 15+ pieces of your best work. It helps to know how to draw..
BUT if you’re well along in your high school career and don’t really have much time to work on your art skills, you might want to look into a liberal arts college- then you can take art classes along with other classes (sciences, language, humanities, etc.). That way you have a fall-back, but if you still really like art you can pursue it either at your college or you can transfer.
Some great art/design schools:
Parsons, RISD, Savannah
