Hello,
Ok, I’ve watched the shows and my question is; when I hire an interior decorator and tell them I have a $5000 budget then will they work out their fee within that budget or can I expect to be billed separately for that? If so, what is the average cost of hiring one.

Hi! I actually am an interior designer. There are many different ways to charge a client, but in your situation, if you tell me “here is $5000, decorate a space for me” $4000 would actually go into your space, and the other $1000 would serve as my 20% commission.
