What type of degree do you need to become a design consultant at a home improvment store?

Like Lowe’s or Home Depot. I have a knack for interior design but want to get my feet wet and make sure that’s what I want to do before I jump into 4 years of design school. Any info would be great.

I think you just have to show your talent…in design you either go for being an ASID…which would take years and years plus a lot of dirty work..they are the best of the best…Lowe’s and Home Depot can’t even hire people with that education…..decorate several friends homes , take pictures and go for it…..I have no training and have decorated friends houses for over 30 years…..
