Home Interior Design Kitchen Dining
Is it okay to have dining room wall red and family room wall teal? Or do they need to be same color?
When you walk into my home there is one large room which is the formal dining room/living room combo. From there it leads you to the family room (large and open with 25 ft ceiling). I would like to paint an accent wall in red in the dining room/living room combo, so the overall decor will be red. In the family room, I would like to paint an accent wall teal and the overall decor will be teal and brown.
Just wonder what interior designers think about this. Should the common areas (dining room/family room/living room/kitchen) have the same overall design color?
Get some sample paint and paint a couple of pieces of poster board. Thumb tack them to the wall side by side and see how they look. Leave them up for a number of days and see if you love it.
It’s your house, you have to be happy in it.
