Interior design advice – guest bedroom?

I have a guest bedroom that has a black cast iron double bed frame, white double wardrobe (Ikea Hemnes), white bedside tables matching the wardrobe, cream walls and cream curtains. I have just moved house and therefore cannot afford to buy new furniture and I want to keep the cream walls so advice required on what else I can do to put some colour into the room…

What colour bedding and accessories does anyone recommend? I don’t want a bland room but don’t want something too personal as it is the guest room so could have a whole mixture of ages staying i.e. parents, or mates! I can afford to buy brand new bedding, throws, cushions, bedside lamps and accessories. The master bedroom is crisp white bedding, cream walls, oak furniture which splashes of deep red so don’t want the guest room to be the same.

Ideas/links gratefully appreciated as I am stuck for ideas!

Thank you!

try this website, click on bedding and have a look at page 3-Varese, page 4-Madison, page 6 Shadow Floral and Rose Trail, and i think it was page 10 its called Peony Trail, all these would put some lovely colour in your and also would be suitable for parents and friends! They also do co-ordinating accessories and cushions etc so easy to match!

Is interior design architecture? 10 POINTS best answer!?

I was wondering… If I wanted to be an interior designer, should I study the Architecture program when I go to college/university???
PLEASE ANSWER!
10 points for best answer I’ll choose ASAP!

My friend is an interior design major, but she has tons of architecture classes that she has to take as apart of her major. I think almost all of her first semester classes were architecture. If you are interested in being an interior designer but your school doesn’t offer it then majoring in architecture would be a good idea. If your school offers both degrees then you could major in 1 of them and minor in the other because chances are a lot of the same classes overlap for both degrees. My biggest suggestion would be to talk to a school adviser once you get there and they will be able to tell you what’s best for you and different programs they have at your school

I am planning to start an interior design company. I would like to know ideas for some names for the company?

It should be in any language other than english & related to interior design
