Interior Design Styles Modern
Vintage or Modern?
What type of style brings you in more, vintage or modern? This could be for clothes, interior design, etc etc
Vintige IS modern, so, you’ll be “in” more if you dress, or use vintige in your daily lifestyles.

Modern Interior Design Ideas Bedroom
what should i do? Any ideas?
hey there
my mum and i live in Australia and are moving to an apartment/flat and i want to design my room myself (mum has bad taste lol
)
anyhoo i need a good colour scheme or theme….i am thinking of black, red and white, with the feature wall painted black.
i need some suggestions… to help you out i love the modern contemporary look, i am not very girly (so not too much pink) but im no tom boy and i would like the bedroom to suit my age now and as i get older
it would be great to get an interior designers point of view
p.s im nearly 18yrs old
I hope you have a large bedroom, otherwise having a complete wall painted black will really be rather dark. (I like dark, but in a smallish room, it can make the room seem depressing which is why you rarely see it except in very large rooms.)
Personally, I would go with grey, black, and red. 3 white walls and a ceiling will seem pretty stark against a black feature wall, but grey will tone down that sharp contrast in color. Grey also gives you a good base to complete the look of your room by actually picking 3 greys to use. If you choose a medium grey for the wall color, then you can use a lighter grey on the ceiling, and a darker grey on your trim. 3 shades of white really doesn’t add that much punch to a room, LOL…
Keep your red elements at a minimum. On this background, the red will just jump out at you, so it really won’t take a lot to make a big statement about your room.
You’re in luck here though. If you decide to go with either white or grey, there are a lot of options to choose from for bedding, curtains, etc. that are already geared toward the black, grey/white and red motif. Also, modern furniture styles look great with the scheme, and you can do a lot of creative things with your accessories.
The only thing that will really ruin the effect is a lot of bare wood or natural elements like grasses or bamboo. You can have one or two of these kinds of things, but too much will destroy the effect you seem to be going after.
Anyway, good luck and have fun with it.
