computer 3D home design / interior design?

I want to design some interiors using a 3D package for the pc. I have tried several home design programmes but I find these very limited for what I want to acheive, The choice of furniture and appliances are limited and the renders are poor. I would like a programme that allows me to design unique peices of furniture and finish with quality renders, textures and lighting effects. Programmes I have considered are turbocad 11 and 3D max but these look complicated I am a complete begineer with this sort of programme and wouldn’t have a clue where to start. Can anyone recommend any programmes that will help me acheive what I want that would be fairly easy for a novice to pick up and preferably one with a printed manual rather than an online manual.

well for what i think what you want is a really good 3D software, but the problem with this kind of software is that its really a bit tricky to learn and an expensive software.
my advice, is try the older versions of 3D Max, it could still do the trick for you and its more affordable and not that too complicated.

Can you patch badly damaged plaster walls?

I’ve just bought a house and whoever owned it previously was horrendous at DIY! The units are all fine and quite modern, but they’ve stripped some tiles off the walls and left an awful mess. There’s not a smooth surface to be seen, lumps have fallen out etc.. but I’d really like a tiled splash back. They’ve even “painted on” some plaster in one area!

get all the loose stuff off and buy this stuff-

sand it when it’s dry and tile away !

Free Interior Design Drawings
I’m looking for free printable stencil patterns on the web. Where can I find them?

I want to use these stencil (patterns, drawings, designs … etc.) to decorate my house walls (interior). What I’m going to do is to print them on A4 or A3. Then, I’ll cut them into transparencies. After that, I’ll just paint the spaces with stencil paints. Cool dream, isn’t it? Could you help me make it real?
