Interview Questions About Interior Design?

I have to write two pages of interviews from two different people in the interior design career for school, and I don’t know any interior designers in person. after answering my questions, can you please leave your real name? Thank you.

1. What is a typical day like for an Interior Designer?

2. What kind of things do you learn/do in college to prepare yourself to be an Interior Designer?

3. If you are self employed, what were some things that you did to get your name out? if not, what do you think are some good strategies to do so?

4. What is the starting salary of an Interior Designer?

5. Do you think that even with the economy now, Interior Designers have job security?

6. What are some things I can do in High School to prepare me to study Interior Design in College?

7. What are some difficulties of being an interior designer?

8. In home design, what is the most common thing people want remodeled?

6. flower arranging at a flower shop, working in a fabric or craft store, studying art appreciation, paint/draw/do sculpture, learn to sew, knit, crochet, etc. take carpentry. Extracurricular clubs.

What are some blogs/magazines that showcase houses & gardens & buildings?

I like looking at architecture and I’m looking for a blogs and/or magazines that feature nice houses and buildings. I’m not so much into modern architecture, but more European/urban townhouse/cute cottages style architecture. I’m not sure where I can find this type of thing though…help?

I’m looking for exterior architecture, not interior design, and something that deals with small houses not huge mansions.

Better Homes & Gardens, Sunset Magazine, Martha Stewart Living Magazine & Coastal Living are all very good ones Visit a few garden sites, too, Spring Hill Nursery is my personal favorite.

And do a google search for Engliisshj Country homes And English Country Gardens,

Before you start spending money on plant material. puchase t Western Garden Book. It;s the best to assist you with plants and flowers that will grow best in your growing zone. They provide excellent photos of garden ideas,too.
