5. Where do you shop at? (John Lewis, Habitat Tesco, Debenhams, Ikea, Sainsbury’s, Next etc)

Who knows about expensive restaurants in New York?

Ok, I'm in the time to do some research on the expensive restaurants in New York. One of the problems. I live in New Zealand, and have never been in a remote area near New York. V would be grateful if someone can tell me about restaurants like Le Bernardin, Daniel, per se, ermm, everything else you can think in that sense … but not a Mass? I just need information on interior design, quality food, the attitude of people (employees and customers), and the label … etc I prefer answers from people who live in New York or to go (one of) these places, but everything else that is useful is great too. I know it's a lot to ask, what indeed would be awesome if you could send me an email. so that we can be as specific as we like:) this is really important, lots sothanks to anyone who answers: D

Well I actually have eaten in all the places you mentioned, and while the food is quite good in most cases, are sometimes overwhelmed by the opulence of places. These are elegant and very, very expensive restaurants. While most servers are pretty good that they are all very knowledgeable about the menus and dishes, but sometimes seem like a little snob! Again dealing with the upper echelon of the Manhattan crowd so you have a lot of money in one room and most of the diners are good for business and social elites who can come across pretty cool if you have nothing to offer or are not in his inner circle. My biggest complaint 5 star restaurants in New York are the portion sizes and the importance of display and high dollar ingredients … While I said a little before the food is generally very good myself, but I usually end up going out and having a dirty dog for me to fill. The Bernadin class is probably the most classic and a little too "French" for my tastes, but the food is excellent and you know you're in a place that exudes wealth as soon as you walk through the door and the maitre-salute to you … sure to make reservations in all these places and make sure they are willing to spend a large sum of money for a decent amount of food … For my money I always send the Brooklyn people these days as the food is better, the portions are larger, and very frankly you get a lot more bang for your money and you do not have to sit through hours of piano you can play while eating … The best steakhouse in the city of New York's Peter Luger in Brooklyn under the bridge and you can not go wrong there regardless of whether the value of $ 100 or $ 1,000,000.00 good luck and hope this helps ..
